At the end of this month the students will be racing the 3D printed racecar on the Silverstone (UK) racetrack.
The car is almost ready and recently the car was introduced to the press and sponsors. The team is finishing the details now, but the car itself is ready to go. It is impressive what they could accomplish in this short amount of time from a clean sheet and they used all different studies in technology but in marketing also. Working together with the sponsors made it a real team effort to be proud of. Using the Tractus3D large format printer however gave them a big advantage to shorten production times and make several prototype parts for tryouts. The used technology brings several advantages in weight reduction and speed, but with the use of biogradable materials and electric power units they think about sustainability for the environment also.
From the 20th until the 23rd of July the teams will compete each other on the famous racetrack of Silverstone in Great Britain and we are anxious to see the result of the hard work in live competition.
